Freight and Logistics Coordinator | Batavia, OH

Job Description:
Utility Trailer is looking for an inbound and outbound freight/logistics coordinator to work in our Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Batavia, OH. This individual will work with our Warehouse Manager to support all freight and logistics need for this location.
  • Secure and negotiate rates and pricing on quotes with carriers of all modes as needed
  • Identify backhaul revenue opportunities in existing delivery lanes.
  • Quoting, scheduling, and tracking shipments
  • Resolve any account issues
  • Addressing and maintaining communication with internal and external customers (dealers, brokers and/or LTL Carriers)
  • Manage all billing, freight claims and rate discrepancies
  • Liaison with accounting to audit freight charges on invoices

General Accounting Supervisor | Batavia, OH

Job Description:
Under general direction, the Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and leadership of the Accounting Department for our Aftermarket parts division, The position performs a wide range of accounting duties including analysis, preparation, and maintenance of financial records and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.   The candidate must be able to apply the appropriate level of knowledge to make recommendations with respect to work/process flows and be able to document, communicate and implement changes that will enhance or support the Company’s internal control policies.  
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage a timely and accurate General Ledger closing process.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Journal entries
  • Analyzing monthly variances and conducting appropriate research on variances
  • Oversee and review the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Interact with other departments as well as corporate accounting and factory management to ensure timely communication and resolution of all accounting related issues.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s financial reporting requirements and general ledger structure.
  • Assist to support external and internal audits
  • Coordinate with Corporate Accounting to year-end audit requirements
  • Assist with A/P, Vendor, Receiving and inventory issues as necessary
  • Manage all department staff
  • Special projects or assignments as necessary
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting
  • 5+ years of General Accounting experience
  • 3+ years of Management/Supervisory experience
  • Extensive computer and systems knowledge of spreadsheet applications and General Ledger experience
  • Experience with financial statement consolidations
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills

The warehouse associate is responsible for any of the following duties:
  • Receiving of incoming deliveries
  • Identifying any potential issues with incoming deliveries including product shortage or damage
  • Pulling product accurately for customer orders
  • Inventory Control and management by picking orders accurately and thoroughly
  • Preparing and loading orders ready to ship to the customer
  • Forklift and cherry picker experience preferred
