North Central Utility of Minnesota Breaks Ground on New North Mankato Facility

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., June 30, 2016 – Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the industry’s largest manufacturer of refrigerated trailers and a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, and Tautliner® curtainsided trailers is pleased to announce that North Central Utility,   has broken ground on a new dealership facility to be located in North Mankato, Minnesota.

“Since acquiring the Utility dealership from Allstate Peterbilt, we concentrated on finding an ideal location to build a new state-of-the-art facility,” said David Batterman, Vice President. “We need to be out where business is growing, and North Mankato is the perfect place to build our first full-service dealer location in Minnesota. This 12-acre location is ideally located off Highway 14 near the heavily traveled Highway 169. It assures easy access for customers coming from the Twin Cities as well as those traveling on Interstates 80, 90, and 35.”
The new North Mankato location is the beginning of a comprehensive expansion plan for North Central Utility in the Midwest. When open (October 2016), the 22,000 square foot full-service facility will house a 3,000 square foot retail Parts Showroom, and a 5,500 square foot Parts Warehouse. The 7-bay Service Facility will feature a bay dedicated to alignment and another bay dedicated to wreck repair. The new facility’s address will be 2150 Carlson Drive, North Mankato, MN 56003.
