Utility Trailer Sales Southeast Texas Opens New Facility in Eagle Pass
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., March 19, 2019 - Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the industry’s largest manufacturer of refrigerated trailers and a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, and Tautliner® curtainsided trailers is pleased to announce the opening of a new, dual-use facility located on historic Route 57 in the city of Eagle Pass, TX. The “Houston group” has constructed this state-of-the-art, Dealer facility on 40 acres of land, ideally located to service the new Utility refrigerated trailer factory in Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico, just three miles down the road.
“This strategic location is an ideal setting to store new trailers and get them ready for pick-up,” said Steve Bennett, Vice President of Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. “In the near future it will become a center for transportation, receiving and accounting management. It will also be the receiving point for customer furnished materials and other production materials.”
The 51,000 square-foot parts warehouse and a 20-bay facility is also a full-service facility, offering new and used trailers, parts & service. “We are proud to be building a facility that will optimize service for our local customers,” said Jonny Loring, Jr., President of Utility Trailer Sales Southeast Texas. “Our Eagle Pass dealership will also offer a host of services to other Utility dealers and customers, including Carrier installations, lift gates, decals, and tracking devices.”
“This new development is an ideal location for us,” added Mr. Loring. “It’s proximity to the Mexican border enables us to better serve our growing customer base in the Texas market place. We’re also pleased that it will provide support for Utility Trailer Manufacturing’s plant operations in Piedras Negras.”
Directly adjacent to the Houston group, also on historic route 57, Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company has a 130-acre parcel under development, for new trailer parking and warehouse operations, to support the new Utility factory just over the border in Piedras, Negras Mexico. The first phase of the parking facility is now open for new trailer pick-up.
