Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. to Exhibit Latest Trailer Models at TMC

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., February 27, 2018 - Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co., the industry’s largest manufacturer of refrigerated trailers and a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, and TautlinerÒ curtainsided trailers to showcase four trailer models at this year’s Technology Maintenance Council’s (TMC) Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition located at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from March 5th to March 8th.

Utility will be exhibiting their latest 4000D-X Composite® TBR dry van, 3000R® reefer, 4000AE™ flatbed, and the 4000AE™ Drop Deck flatbed. “Each trailer will be equipped with features and options that demonstrate Utility’s on-going commitment in providing customers the best in quality and innovation,” said Brett Olsen, Marketing Manager for Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co.

Utility’s 4000DX-Composite TBR (Tall Bottom Rail) dry van will be on display with its 10” taller bottom rail, which is 50% thicker at floor level than a standard bottom rail, delivers 101.25” of width between wearbands, and has a 24,000 lb fork truck rating. Other unique features include the 1-3/8” Rockland Defender composite laminated oak floor and a Grip Guard™ topcoat.

Utility’s #1 selling 3000R refrigerated van will feature a 1-3/8” extruded aluminum extended-wear knurled duct floor and the Utility-Versitex® VR3U liner with 16” welded wearband, giving it a total wearband of 18”. Both the dry van and reefer trailers are equipped with Utility’s latest aerodynamic side skirts.

Also, on display are Utility’s two newest flatbed models – the 4000AE combo flatbed trailer and the 4000AE combo drop deck option. The 4000AE combo comes with Utility’s standard 47,000 lb coil haul package and is lighter than some all-aluminum flatbeds. The 4000AE is designed with a new patent-pending crossmember system that includes both 3” aluminum I-beam crossmembers and 4” aluminum I-beam crossmembers. Utility’s 4000AE Drop Deck option has the same 3” and 4” aluminum I-beam crossmembers, a 39,000 lb. coil haul package and features the ConMet Preset aluminum hub system.  Taking some of the same light weight features as the 4000AE flatbed, this design delivers an additional 541 lbs. of weight savings over the standard drop deck.
