Pre-Delivery Inspection

A pre-delivery inspection is recommended prior to putting a new trailer into normal service. (If a customer elects to pick up the trailer at the factory, it is recommended that the customer perform the inspection).

Utility’s 500-mile inspection for new trailers covers only those items that require check and adjustment after initial run-in. Therefore, each trailer needs this inspection after the first 500 miles.

If the trailer has 100 miles or less at the time of delivery, the wheel nut torque should be checked, at the very least. When delivering trailers with fewer than 500 miles, give customers this inspection form and request that his/her service person check the other items at 500 miles.
