Electrician – PLC Technician | Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. seeks a Maintenance Control System Electrician with PLC experience for its R&D facility located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This position will be the project lead electrician and be required to perform inspecting, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintaining electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment. Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures. The ideal candidate should be able to become familiar with all processes utilized by Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. This position reports directly to our R&D Tooling Supervisor.

 



 

Job Description:
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints & schematics
  • Experience creating schematics using Constructor and/or Fluid Sim Software is a plus
  • Experience with drive systems, motors, and PLC’s (Rockwell)
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Exposure to pulling electrical wiring through electrical conduit and terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets, and various electrical devices along with installing and connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, or other components and systems
  • Have experience with installing, bending, and removing conduit
  • Must be able to consult with outside contractors as needed
  • Assists in a variety of functions with manual labor task as needed.
  • Is self-reliant with minimum instruction from Supervisor

Welder/Fabricator | Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. seeks an individual to perform journeyman-level welding, machining, and fabrication of metals for its R&D facility located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This position will play a key role in the fabrication of tooling, fixtures and automated machines to further advance UTM’s manufacturing processes to support all manufacturing facilities located throughout the U.S.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge and be able to apply appropriate machining & welding techniques to industry standards. This position reports directly to our Shop Supervisor.


 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assembles and tack-welds steel frames and other component parts of machinery and equipment in preparation for final welding: Measures and marks location and layouts for metal components on assembly table and/or jigs.
  • Verifies position of metal components in assembly, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and tape measure prior to final fabrication.
  • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, such as mills and lathes.
  • Will work closely with engineers and co-workers to resolve machining and/or assembly problems.
  • Will assemble machines, equipment, and their subassemblies, in accordance with engineering prints and/or other written and verbal specifications.
  • Drills, taps, or reams holes, using drill press or portable drill.
