The newest outreach center was designed to showcase the largest collection of fuel-saving and emission reducing technologies in the United States. The Cascade Sierra Solutions Open House will show how the unique partnership of government, manufacturers, and truck owners can help upgrade and replace trucks/trailers to stay compliant with today’s tougher air quality regulations and achieve significant increased in fuel economy. Utility Trailer plans to participate in the Cascade Sierra Solutions Open House on June 20 showcasing the 4000D-X® dry van equipped with the single-tire Wide Track System™ and various aerodynamic fuel-saving technology devices, including a Laydon Composites side skirt system; a Freight Wing™ front-mounted gap reducer; and an ATDynamics rear-drag TrailerTail™. Utility was the first trailer manufacturer to offer a qualifying trailer when the 4000D-X® dry van achieved the EPA Certified SmartWay® certification in August 2007. To qualify for SmartWay ® certification, a trailer must achieve 6.5% or greater fuel savings. “Utility Trailer is proud to support Cascade Sierra Solutions’ drive to retrofit existing fleets with the latest technological advances that save fuel and cut emissions,” said Craig Bennett, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing, Utility Trailer. “We believe in Cascade’s goal of reducing costs, conserving energy, reducing emissions and improving the environment.
