Utility Trailer Manufacturing Announces New Dealer Location in Colombia

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., September 10, 2013 – Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the industry’s largest manufacturer of refrigerated trailers and a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, and Tautliner® curtainsided trailers is pleased to announce the opening of Utility Trailers de Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.

Utility Trailers de Andes is a wholly owned subsidiary of Utility Trailer de Mexico S.A. de C.V. The dealership is a part of Utility’s independent dealer network of over 100 locations throughout the Americas. The new location in Colombia is 2,260 square feet and consists of one trailer bay and a parts department. There are currently five employees at the location, including two salesmen and a parts manager.

“The new location plans to follow the Mexico business model. Just as Mexico did 20 years ago, Colombia is in the process of developing more modern trailer fleets,” said Gabriel Garcia Diaz, President of Utility Trailer de Mexico. “Colombia is the door to South America and has a growing economy, which makes it is an ideal location for a new Utility dealership.”
