CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., December 6, 2011 – Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the industry’s largest manufacturer of refrigerated trailers and a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, and Tautliner® curtainsided trailers is pleased to announce that George Cravens, President of Utility Trailer Sales Company of Arizona has been selected as the new Arizona Trucking Association (ATA) Chairman.

Since 1937, the ATA has represented Arizona’s trucking industry and its members before legislative, regulatory and enforcement agencies. Additionally, the ATA provides its members with the resources that help with compliance to regulations and laws that may affect them. Utility Trailers Sales of Arizona has been a member of the ATA for 73 years.

Beginning November 2011, George Cravens will succeed former chairman, Colin Stewart. Cravens is only the second allied member chairman in the organization’s history. “The board of director’s position is typically given to carrier members and it’s very rare that an allied member would be elected as chairman,” said Craig Bennett, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing at Utility. “With George’s demonstrated ability managing Utility Trailer Sales of Arizona and his past achievements with the ATA, he is undoubtedly the perfect candidate for their new chairman.”
