Light weight aluminum exterior side skin with Ultra Road Shield™ Plus (URS+)
Tested for optimum performance, the .040" aluminum side skin uses the strength of the foam bonded to the interior lining panels to distribute side wall stress.
Tall bottom rail
For greater strength and durability, the tall bottom rail is 10” taller and 50% thicker than a standard dry van rail. It raises the height of the interior riveted components and provides a smooth, puncture resistant interior surface at the floor level.

Aerospace-style wing plates have collared holes and embossed ribs for increased strength and lower tare weight. Formed channel braces provide additional durability.
100% soldered electrical wiring system
The sealed main harness features 100% soldered internal connectors that prevent corrosive deicing chemicals from traveling through connections into the wiring.
Weathertight hardwood floor system
Flooring is pre-undercoated to extend floor life. Weatherproof sealant is applied between every floorboard, Utility-designed gaskets are installed between the troughs and bottom rails for leak protection.

Built with a fiberglass layer on the underside, the high strength design of a composite floor supports heavier payloads and decreases moisture entry into the floor.
Galvanized interior lining is squeeze riveted with fully recessed fasteners to outer skin and side posts, creating a Snag-Free®, high strength, composite wall.
Diagonal reinforcing gussets on slider rails
Welded steel reinforcing gussets increase torsional stiffness and strength for a more stable slider rail with decreased potential for slider rail detachment.

High mounted wearband
The 8" wearband is moved 10" above the work level, and the smooth, solid one-piece interior surface of the aluminum Tall Bottom Rail becomes point of contact for pallets.

Bi-directional tensioned roof design
Our bi-directionally tensioned aluminum roof skin has diagonal reinforcing plates at all four corners. It is supported by anti snag roof bows and is mechanically crimped around the top rail for moisture entry protection.
27" deep integrated threshold plate assembly
Fully welded to the buckplate and side gussets, the 27" threshold plate eliminates floorboard decay and delivers the optimal strength to resist dock plate damage and fork truck impact.
6-post front wall
Steel “tees” are welded to the approach plate between 4 posts and extruded aluminum corner posts for superior impact resistance, significantly lowering maintenance costs.
Heavy-duty kingpin and approach plate assembly
Approach plate is supported by six formed channels to prevent dishing. The kingpin is AAR-rated and the whole assembly is secured to the bottom rails with stainless steel rivets.
A kingpin section flooded in rust preventative coating, a stainless steel rear case and barrier tape on dissimilar metals reduces the potential for corrosion.
¾" deep side wall
Side walls have been increased to ¾" for added stiffness and increased bulge strength often required in specialized hauls and heavy-duty applications.
